Brighid's Story:

Brighid is a rescue kitty that we got from the Humane Society. We got her because when we got Calypso, our other kitty Meerclar wasn't quite bonding with her (with Calypso's high energy, and Meerclar's age), so we thought that Calypso should have a playmate her own age. (Meerclar is 15 years older than Calypso, after all) After a magical search on the Humane Society's web page, Yasmine locked onto this beautiful and wonderful kitty that we knew would be perfect for our cat family. We went to the Humane Society's location, and after a joyous bonding period, took home our happy kitty to join our family.

Calypso took an immediate delight with the new found joyous playmate, and began to wrassel the lil' critter to the ground, again and again. (and again... and again... and again...) Of course, Brighid adapted and wrasseled back, and the two have been inseparable ever since.

December 2008 Update on Brighid: OK, kitty trouble maker. Due to our cat wanting to explore E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G we weren't able to put up a yule tree. We put it up, and within ten minutes, both Calypso and Brighid are making a home IN the tree. It is an artificial tree, and it has wires that a cat can get caught (and seriously hurt, or worse) in. So after a record 30 minutes, the tree came down. Hopefully, the tree can go up next year, when she grows up. (Hear that kitty? Grow up. Grow up.) But she is so cuuuuuuuuuuuteeeeeeeee!!! And, she is getting very long. She's into her gangly stage.

November 2011 Update: Not good, not good, Brighid was going around the house, squatting and trying to pee on any item of clothing on the ground. Immediately, we took her into the vet, and like we guessed, she had Urinary track infection. The vet gave her some antibiotics

Of course, with our camera and our love of kitties, we decided to enrich web viewers with cute kitty pictures.
