Hey ho everyone, I'm Calypso (or Caylee, for short). Yasmine likes to call me Caylee, while talking in a cutzy voice.

Breed: Calico cat

Calypso's Story:

After the loss of two of our other kitties Luna and Pakhit, Yasmine felt the calling to seek out a cat that was calling to us. She searched on a number of cat rescue web sites for that cat, and at a pet shelter site in Bellevue, Washington (now closed), we found our kitty who called out to us.

Yasmine and Samwise went down to the pet shelter and visited the kitty. It was love at first site.

The kitty was only eight weeks old, and wanted a home very much. She seemed to immediately bond with us, and we instantly fell in love her, so we adopted her, and she joined our family.

December 2008 update on Caylee: Our other cat Meerclar missed the other cats who just passed, and she became 'mommy' to Caylee, and Caylee loved it. The two have been best friends and sleeping buddies ever since.

April 2009 update on Caylee: Caylee likes to 'demand' grooming from Meerclar. They will nuzzle together, and Caylee will head butt Meerclar, until Meerclar performs the mandatory 'mommy'-grooming that Caylee loves so much

November 2010 Update on Caylee: Caylee loves to do laps. When Samwise and Yasmine go to bed, Caylee will crawl up onto Yasmine and want 'pettins'. After her fix, she will leave, circle the bed, be back up crawling on Yasmine, demanding more 'pettins'. We call this 'doing laps'. She will do about six to eight laps before she will settle down at either the foot of the bed, or at the head, and nuzzle down for a well deserved night of nappins. Meow.
